AttractionBlogs.com: I’m here with Nick Savoy, the President of Love Systems, formerly Mystery Method Corporation. Savoy, it’s a pleasure to have you.
Savoy: Thank you, I’m glad to be here.
AttractionBlogs.com: Your company, Love Systems, has been around for a couple of years now and has made various media appearances. Tell us a little about how Love Systems got started and its philosophy.
Savoy: Love Systems is an entirely new way of helping men succeed with women.
Before Love Systems, it was all about “follow the guru and do as he does”. That’s the old teaching model from The Game, and it can work – up to a point. Some techniques are based on female psychology and social dynamics, and those can work as well for one guy as another. Then there’s stuff that works for the guru because it fits his personality, identity, background, build, etc. – and if you are similar to the guru, these can help you too.
But the one-size-fits all model broke when seduction stopped being just an underground internet thing. You shouldn’t tell a 40-year old banker to paint his fingernails black and go to goth clubs because that’s what you do. You shouldn’t take a shy foreign exchange student and tell him to walk around the club screaming “woo woo” and “I bring the party” just because it’s what you do.
That’s when a bunch of the world’s top pick up artists got together to do it better. We realized that we could produce better training and better information by testing and building on each others’ ideas rather than going it alone.
Quick example — Mr M, a 5’3 instructor of Asian descent in London (and an amazing pick up artist) came up with the frame control opener that we published in the Love Systems Routines Manual Vol 2 that blows away “bitch shields” at high-end clubs. He shared that with the 30 or so of the top pickup artists in the world. Does it work for me – a big, obnoxious white guy in Los Angeles in my 30s? Does it work with The Don’s quiet, confident style? Fader goes to raves. Soul does day game. And so on.
When you start to break it down and do some rigorous testing like that, you really see some amazing patterns. Love Systems instructors have approached or observed clients approaching over 100,000 women. That’s an amazing amount of insight that no one person could ever hope to achieve by himself. It’s almost unfair to compare the “single-name gurus” to Love Systems – they can’t hope to compete.
The Love Systems approach also makes it easy to separate the universal techniques from the “this only works for some people” techniques. The former went into my book, the Magic Bullets Handbook. The latter goes into our live training, like Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) Bootcamps.
AttractionBlogs.com: There have been a lot of innovations at Love Systems – tell us about three recent innovations that you’re proudest of.
Savoy: Off the top of my head…
- The Triad Model. For the first time, there’s a step-by-step path to lead you from when you first see a woman to beginning a relationship with her. It’s complete – it covers emotional progression, physical escalation (“kino”) and logistics. It’s flexible – for someone new, it can be explained in one sentence, while advanced guys use the very detailed implications. And it’s an organizing principle – there’s SO much good information out there like “Here’s what you do if X, Y, and Z happen” – you know exactly where it belongs in the model so it’s easier to remember and use. - Social Circle Mastery. This came mostly from top pickup artists Mr M and Braddock but everyone including myself contributed in some way. Finally, there is a step-by-step actionable program that any man can take to get himself into and leading high-value social circles. This is part of what we call “Game 2.0” – rethinking, questioning, and improving every aspect of pickup. Sure, it’s important to have the skills to go out to a bar and pick up a beautiful woman. But as a lifestyle, you don’t want to be doing that every night. Once you’ve invested a bit of time in it, the social circle approach gives you access to the hottest women much easier. - Body Language. Having Cajun (the winner of Keys to the VIP) and Vercetti (a trained Shakesperean actor) on the team has transformed how we teach body language at our bootcamps. Where everyone else will give you a list of 20 things to do like “make eye contact” and then move on, we have exercises and tools to work with you live on using body language and non-verbal communication to pick up women. Guys like Cajun and Tenmagnet (a founding member of Love Systems) are so good at this that they’ll make stupid bets with each other on how few words they’re allowed to use in a pickup. And we’re not talking 100-200 here…more like 3 or 4. It’s incredible.
AttractionBlogs.com: The concept of the “transition” is also a Love Systems innovation, is it not? When do you use transitions? Our readers are curious.
Savoy: Have you ever approached a woman on some kind of a pretext? (As opposed to “going direct”). Maybe an opinion opener, or even something functional like asking for directions. After she answers your question, you know you want to stay in the conversation, but it can be a bit awkward at first.
The Transition handles that. There are a few different kinds of Transitions – the easiest are just phrases that make it easy to change the subject. Like “that reminds me,” or “that’s just like when.” But the best Transitions are often cold reads – that’s when you “spontaneously” notice something about the woman you’re talking to. Women love to talk about themselves and are interested in how people see them, so a good cold read is sure to continue and broaden the conversation so that SHE doesn’t want YOU to leave.
By the way, if you “go direct” and approach a woman flirtatiously and without a pretext, then you don’t really need a Transition.
Love Systems teaches both direct and indirect game. The difference actually doesn’t matter very much – done properly, you’re in the exact same place with either way once you’re about 15 minutes in anyway.

AttractionBlogs.com: What would you say is the biggest mistake that men make when it comes to attracting beautiful women?
Savoy: Not projecting confidence, not having a structure, not knowing what to say, not making strong and attractive fashion and identity choices, putting her on a pedestal, I could say any of these or ten others are the “biggest” mistake and could justify it. But that just feeds into the “I just have to fix this one thing” attitude that a lot of guys want to have. They’re looking for the “Magic Bullet” that will make them great with women.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. I called my book “Magic Bullets” to go against this idea. Instead of doing one big thing right, my book focuses on the hundreds of little things that all add up to how a woman is going to interact with you. Get enough of them right and you’ll get the girl.
AttractionBlogs.com: How about the women? Men aren’t the only ones who make mistakes, are they?
Savoy: Well, sure, and because Love Systems is the biggest and best-known in the field, a lot of women find their way to us. We do phone consultations and 1-1s with women, though only if we’re sure we can help. I’m actually writing a book for women right now.
To vastly oversimplify: Many men just don’t understand women at all. Most women understand men a bit better but are more likely to refuse to accept reality. That’s why you hear women say things like “why can’t men be more like this” or “I know he said this, but he can’t really mean it”. In contrast, I think most men understand themselves a bit better than most women do. Again, vast generalization.
AttractionBlogs.com: What would you say is the number-one misunderstood facet of female psychology?
Savoy: Wow. If I had to pick just one, it’d be the importance that women place on every aspect of how others perceive them. I think a lot of guys “know” this but they don’t “get” it or see the implications when they come up.
I used to do this presentation at the end of Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) bootcamps on female psychology, where I’d break down all of the different “rules” that govern a woman’s sexual decision-making. Some come from society, some come from an individual woman’s preferences, but a lot comes from the informal “micro rules” that a woman and her friends (or whoever she’s out with) set. Being able to quickly understand her group’s “micro rules” and use them to your advantage can often be the difference between success and failure.
(Eventually someone recorded part of it and the partial version was all over the internet. So we made it a topic for the interview series with myself and master pick up artist Jeremy Soul. You can listen to it right away – it’s called female psychology.)
Micro rules are especially important with the most beautiful women. These women are often in high-status social groups that they don’t want to lose their position in. I picked up a gorgeous brunette in Hollywood once who told me that she and her friends “don’t talk to guys we don’t know” – the owner of the club, men they knew before, and celebrities only. If I didn’t understand or know how to navigate through that dynamic, I would have failed.
And especially if I’m planning to take her home that night, I might spend as much time talking to her friends as I do with her, so they won’t get in my/our way at the “moment of truth” at the end of the night. It’s the man’s job to manage the situation so that the woman won’t lose value with her friends by going home with you.
(This is much more important for exceptionally beautiful women – other women are more likely to ditch their friends and accept the social consequences of going home with you if they’re attracted.)
AttractionBlogs.com: Savoy, you’ve had some new products come out recently over there at Love Systems. Can you tell us about them?
Savoy: Well, at the beginning of every month there’s a new product. We take a couple of the top experts in a specific subject – anything from cold reads to threesomes – and let them discuss, argue, and give their best stuff. Then we edit it down to about an hour of the best insight and release it as part of our interview series. We’re going into our 5th year doing this now, so it’s an amazing resource if you’re looking to get better in any specific area. In terms of newer products, Volume 2 of the Love Systems Routines Manual was a huge hit. Like the original Routines Manual, it gives away the PERSONAL routines of the world’s best pick up artists. If you’ve ever seen a master at work and wished you could hear and copy down what he was saying, the Routines Manual is the book that does it.
Then there’s the Relationship Management DVD set. Like the Routines Manual, I wanted to do this because no one else had and it was important. How do you date more than one woman at the same time without lying? How do you tell if your girlfriend is a cheater and what can you do about it? How do you set and keep expectations if you’re Friends with Benefits? How to do you manage a Traditional Relationship – or move into or out of one. There’s three DVDs worth of questions like this that someone needed to answer, and since it happens to be an area of expertise, we were really happy to release these.
AttractionBlogs.com: What do you see happening in the Seduction Community over the next 5 or 10 years?
Savoy: Like I was talking about before, there’s going to be a lot of pressure on the “lonely guru stands alone” types. I think those guys will ultimately become niche players, which is probably where they can add the most value.
I’d like to think there’s going to be a shakeout and that only quality players will survive. If you look at the brands closest to Love Systems in terms of exposure, they’re doing it with massive marketing and advertising spending. That’s fine to get yourself on the map, but at the end of the day this is a word-of-mouth and recommendation-based field. If you’re a few years in and still rely on marketing tricks to get people to pay attention to you, that’s not a good sign about the quality of what you’re teaching.
That’s why Love Systems spends on instructor recruitment, compensation, and training what some others spend on glitzy marketing. I think it’s a better long-term investment, but I’ll look pretty stupid going against the grain if I’m wrong.

AttractionBlogs.com: What is your opinion on the current global financial situation, and do you think our leadership is going to carry us through the crisis? What would you do if you were in control of things?
Savoy: Funny enough, this isn’t the first time I’ve been asked this. I went to a big finance school, so I keep up with what’s going on. Unfortunately, I’m the last person you’d want in control of things. Every finance class began with “assume the efficient market hypothesis”. So, according to that, none of this ever happened. Feel better yet?
